Evansdale Chamber of Commerce Christmas
Festivities
11/20/2011
The Evansdale Chamber of
Commerce will be hosting a community breakfast from 8am until 1pm at Lofty's in
Evansdale with a silent auction. Buscuits & Sausage Gravy, Pancakes, and
Scrambled Eggs will be served with Coffee, Milk, and Juice. Auction
results will be announced at 12:30pm.
Later that day, come join the Chamber for the lighting of our Christmas Tree!
Caroling, Hot Cocoa, Popcorn, and FREE Horse Drawn Trolley rides will make this
a festive occasion that all can enjoy.

EEDC 7th Annual Christmas Open House
11/19/2011
The Evansdale Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) will be holding its 7th
annual Christmas Open House fundraiser at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on
November 19th from 9am until 2pm. There will be home baked treats, a bake
sale, contests, even LUNCH! All proceeds will benefit the Community Life Center
of Evansdale project. Please view the Members

Peace. We hope to see you there!

Halloween Season 2011!
There are two local haunted attractions who are Chamber members, and paying them a
visit is a great way to enjoy the Halloween holiday. Here are the dates

What it looks like today!
Evansdale Chamber of Commerce will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for
the Cedar Valley Nature Trail Evansdale Bridge on 7/31/2011 at
4:00pm. Parking for the event will be on the south side of Jewett School.
Walk, Bike, or Ride the trail tram 1/2 mile to the bridge from there. Come Join
us to celebrate the re-opening of the bridge washed out in the 2008 floods! |
Ribbon Cutting for
Boys & Girls Club June 17th, 2011
Evansdale Chamber of Commerce will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for
the Grand Opening of the Boys & Girls Club of Black Hawk County on 6/17/2011 at
Noon. Meet us in front of 3574 Lafayette Rd to see the ribbon cutting. All
are welcome to join in the celebration!

Good Ol' Days
2009 was better than EVER! (archived 8/11/2009)
Good Ol' Days ran from Friday June 12th to Sunday June 14th, 2009,
and was FILLED with family fun! There was music, rides, mud volleyball,
even special activities for the KIDS!!!
Wristbands or tickets to participate in the attractions will be
available at the following prices: (one ticket = one ride)
Each Ticket: $4.00 Friday Wristband: $10.00 Saturday Wristband: $20.00
Friday, June 12
3pm-8pm "Kid
Again" - Inflatable Fun!, sponsored by the Evansdale Chamber, will be downtown on Lafayette Rd with fun
for the kids - AND the kids-at-heart! Try out the Wrecking Ball,
Bungee Games, Dodgeball Defender, and Screamer Slides on Friday. Saturday we
are adding the Euro-Bungy Jumper, so come back and schek it out!
Imaginarium - Outreach to Space Visitors are welcome to come and experience the Bluedorn Science
Imaginarium痴 new Outreach to Space exhibit and explore the different
aspects of space travel through 10 hands-on museum quality exhibits.
6pm Good Ol' Days PARADE, sponsored by Evansdale Fire & Rescue Parade participants will line up on Central Ave in front of the AMVETS
starting at 5:00pm, with the parade starting at 6:00pm.
As Lafayette is closed for the festivities, the route will be east on
Central to Evans, Evans north to Morrell, Morrell west to River Forest,

The Good Ol' Fall Fling was a
great success, raising a good deal of money for Evansdale Beautification
projects, as well as Good Ol' Days preparations for next year. The
Chamber wishes to say a big THANK YOU to all who supported, worked, and
